Monroe High School Industrial Arts Complex
An award-winning industrial arts building for Monroe High School.
Fully governed by DSA, this award-winning project involved the construction of a new single-story, 14,700-square foot industrial arts building that features a state-of-the-art robotics laboratory, wood shop and media center. A collaboration room, support spaces, restrooms, new ADA path of travel, parking area improvements, off-site utility connections and 5,400 square feet of existing building demolition were also included in this project, which was delivered on an active campus in multiple phases. The curtainwall and storefront entry systems were equipped with preforated security screens and the roof system was installed using standing seam metal roofing and PVC membrane roof systems. The interior ceilings included exposed acoustical roof decks, suspended metal mesh ceiling panels, cement panels and painted drywall ceilings. Further, the interior walls included ceramic restroom tile and drywall with dry erase paint finishes, in lieu of marker boards, in collaboration areas.
