Located in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles, this project provided a new, 118,000-square foot theater and classroom building for the Performing and Media Arts program at LA Valley College. It is a two-story concrete and steel structure with a partial basement. The building houses a 430-seat main theater, a 143-seat horseshoe theater, a 221-seat screening theater and a lab theater. It will also contain specialized teaching facilities, including a 76-seat smart lecture hall, several smart classrooms, a scene shop, costume shop, photography studio, radio station, foley room, film studio, and other highly technical and sound sensitive spaces. The exterior improvements include an outdoor amphitheater, hardscapes and landscape.
